The First Saturday in May, Churchill Downs Officially hires our team to photograph and archive the whole experience. We are Derby Archives. The Kentucky Derby is commonly known as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports." Each of us has our personal story about the opportunity to shoot this event; however, G. Raymond Schuhmann has been at the helm coordinating this work for over 50 years. All of us have a common reason to continue our service. It starts with a passion for photography, horses, people, and the desire to share our skills by covering the event and obtaining the ultimate reward from seeing others joy in viewing our efforts up close and personal.
